Hvide Sande Havn is one of Denmark's most modern fishing harbors and has good service facilities. It was created in connection with the construction of the drainage and chamber lock and inaugurated in August 1931. In the years 1970 - 1985 major expansions and renovations of the port were made, and in the years 2002 - 2008 significant investments were made in the modernization of the unloading and auction conditions for consumption fish.
