The path actually starts earlier, at the destination, at the Zanser Alm.
The Adolf Munkel path goes up and down, between about 1.800m and 2.000m, along the tree line and the gravel zone. In my opinion, it is one of the most attractive in the Dolomites.
Climbers can ascend to the Sass Rigais (3.000m) via the Mittagsscharte.
Via the Panascharte you reach the 2,600m high Seceda, which is connected by cable car with S. Cristina in Val Gardena.September 17, 2018

Everyone knows the Val Gardena, few the Villnösstal. It is less crowded and at least as fascinating with the Geisler massif. Have fun!
