Tips
Largely untouched turquoise-green mountain stream that gives the Riß Valley its name. Access to the shore area is restricted. The sandpiper breeds here. Since it lays its eggs between the stones in the riverbed, they are often indistinguishable from the stones. Therefore, access is not permitted in large parts.

Experience the natural mountain stream. Warning: it gets very wild after heavy rain! Therefore, always park cars on the hiking car park in Hinterriss on the side facing away from the stream !!! We hadn't been told that, and that's why cars were in high water with their rear wheels. So be careful!
