The main train station is a closed station department from the time of the Prussian state railway. The spacious new building built between 1915 and 1920 as a replacement for the older station of the Magdeburg-Leipzig railway consists of buildings for passenger transport (receipt building, platforms) and locomotive treatment (depot). The reception building was built from 1915-1917 in late Art Nouveau style.Köthen was the first railway junction in Germany. Today the main station serves long-distance and regional traffic on five platforms. Since 2002 there has been a floor sundial with a date ladder by the Köthen master stonemason Uwe Schön on the station forecourt.

I liked it. Especially when you leave the station.
