Bergen-Enkheim orchards

This gravel road leads through Bergen-Enkheimer orchards.

In the Frankfurt area, the local branches of Frankfurt West and Frankfurt East are currently looking after orchards leased by the city. Young high-stemmed fruit trees of robust local varieties are replanted, the trees are cut professionally and the meadows are mowed. In autumn, the harvest is rewarded with the effort, the "sweet" is pressed and the fermentation balloons for the "sour" are prepared. Furthermore, the children's group of the OV West, "Die Vielfalter", uses the orchards as an exciting destination to get to know this special cultural landscape with a lot of fun.
