Very good possibility for a short rest. May be longer. Very good offer of in-house kitchen. 😜 Self-service is speedy.😀

A rest at the Plessenburg is part of every mountain bike or hiking tour through the Ilsetal. Romantic in the forest can be strengthened for the continuation of the tour.

Today it was only sold outside behind the table because of Corona. On arrival, the blonde long-haired saleswoman said I should put my MTB in a bike stand 15m away "because she wants it that way". 🤪
Just wanted a coffee and then I would have gone 50m anyway.
In normal season nobody cares where the bikes are piled up.
I went to Ilsestein, there was delicious coffee and bockwurst.😁

The Plessenburg is a beautifully located inn.
The Plessenburg is surrounded by numerous hiking trails from the surroundings of Ilsenburg, Drübeck, Darlingerode, Wernigerode and Bad Harzburg. It is a popular stopover on the way there or back to the highest Harz summit, the Brocken. Not far from the Plessenburg are the Wolfsklippen with a lookout, the Ilse Falls in the Ilsetal and Ilsestein. Furthermore, the Plessenburg can be reached from Wernigerode via Ilsenburg on certain days from the beginning of May until the end of October.
