The village green forms the line of sight between the former castle and the Hohenfinow church. It was created at the time when General von Börstel was the owner of the castle. Starting from the manor (formerly the castle), a listed meadow planted with four rows of trees led to the church. The green area was surrounded by a fork in the stream and was originally planted with three rows of walnut trees. In the cold winter of 1739/40, the walnut trees on the village green froze to death. The Anger was replanted with lime trees in four rows, some of which are still standing today. The open south side of the Anger ends with the village church, which is also higher up in the Anger area.
