The tracks and other relics of the former Schandelah–Oebisfelde railway line are still here. Passenger traffic was initially discontinued after the division of Germany. From 1953 to 1975, passenger services resumed just before the border. Goods were still transported to the Klein Twülpstedt sugar factory until 1987.
