After walking on asphalt for a while, you can enter another part of the Overbroek-Egoven nature reserve here, at the Grondelingebeek. There is a picnic bench and information about the area. In the beginning you will mainly enter wetter areas of forest and even some swampy area with the brooks and valley of the Grondelingebeek.

The Grondelingenbeek is located in the transition area between the nature reserves Overbroek and Egoven. It is one of the streams that, together with the Kasteelbeek, Fonteinbeek and Molenbeek, flows into the upper reaches of the Herk river.
