Commemorative plaque for the great folk actor Gustl Bayrhammer at Widenmayerstraße 2
Gustl Bayrhammer played his way into our hearts as Meister Eder, but the Munich native, born in 1922, had so many more starring roles. From 1972 to 1981 he played crime scene inspector Melchior Veigl, in the 80s and 90s he was the speaker and actor of the white-blue stories. He appeared in the Munich stories, the Police Inspectorate 1 or the Royal Bavarian District Court. Unforgettable: his stage role as Petrus in Brandner's Kaspar and eternal life.

The rear building, in which the popular children's series was filmed, was located at Widenmayerstrasse 2. The master carpenter Franz Eder, played by Gustl Bayrhammer, had his workshop here. The house was demolished shortly after filming ended in April 1985. Today the inner courtyard of the Bavarian Insurance Chamber is located here.
