The Kloesebos

In this forest we find many bird species. The great spotted woodpecker searches for food on the dead trees. The open heathland and the forest edges are a popular hunting ground for the sparrowhawk, which mainly targets birds.

The Kloesebos was partly designed as a play forest at the time. The management was further aimed at creating an old pine forest, interspersed with native deciduous trees with open spaces with heath and juniper forests for a diversity of biotopes. There is a Kloesebos walk that, in addition to the Kloesebos play forest, also visits the Eikelberg and 's Hertogenheide. The play forest area is located on the southern side of the forest (here you are at the northern end).
