The Dömitz stone lock The Dömitz stone lock was built between 1568 and 1572 during the construction of the new Elde from Eldena to Dömitz. It is a chamber lock made of brick and sandstone. The Dömitz lock is one of 17 locks on the Müritz-Elde waterway. It is located directly in the town of the same name, Dömitz, and is part of the federal waterway.
