Aguda is a small fishing village located about 13 km south of the city of Porto, in the municipality of Arcozelo, parish of the municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia. It is known for its wide sand and its waters rich in marine life, also appreciated for therapy due to its high iodine content. Praia da Aguda is one of the calmest and dearest beaches in Porto, and one of the most beautiful beaches on the Costa Verde.
