The Pickardtskotten was built between 1827 and 1865. From 1865 to 1887 it was owned by the Packard family (Picard), then passed to August Görts zu Hahnerberg (Elberfeld), who had the facility demolished in 1889.
The Schleifkotten had a water wheel that produced 12 hp. In 1882, seven to eight people were employed here, who in that year processed semi-finished or finished goods weighing 20 tons.
