Hiking
The Scheldt is an impressive stream here (especially at high tide) up to 100 m wide. It originates in Northern France and is 355 km long, exactly half of which is subject to tidal action (and is therefore also called - as far as Ghent - the Sea Scheldt). The difference between high tide and low tide sometimes reaches 5 m in the Baasrode area.
