The provost Johannesberg towers above the Fulda basin. An impressive complex, essentially dating from the Baroque period. The church is Gothic, Baroque in style and we found it open.

The first church was built in the 9th century and replaced by a Romanesque basilica in the 11th century. Today's church is dedicated to St. John the Baptist.
