A historical baroque garden and a landscaped garden surround the castle ensemble. The part of the castle park on this side of the moat that is open to visitors invites you to linger and observe nature. The avenue of lime trees, consisting of 110 small-leaved lime trees and one small-leaved tree, is particularly impressive. The park is maintained according to ecological aspects. The rich stock of trees is broken up again and again by small meadows with wild herb stocks and crossed by many narrow paths. The rich undergrowth offers many animals an ideal habitat. Unfortunately, the nearby lignite mine in Frechen poses major problems for the park and the building fabric of Schloss Türnich due to the associated lowering of the groundwater level. However, the visitor does not notice this and can above all enjoy the naturalness of the park and the charm of the old walls.
