The Warche is part of the Maas catchment area. Its source is three kilometers southeast of Hünningen and about 400 m west of Losheimergraben, near the German border in the municipality of Büllingen. In the area of the motorway bridge over the Amel valley, the Warche then flows into the Amel after 40 river kilometers at the hamlet of the same name.
