The town hall has stood on this site since the 13th century. But since the building fell victim to several city fires, the last fire was in 1837, it was repeatedly rebuilt and there is nothing left to remind us of that time. The town hall, as it stands now, dates back to 1880. Around 1914, a lot of things were changed again, such as the tower and facade elements.
Anyone who is in Schleiz can listen to the beautiful carillon, which sounds with different melodies every day at 9 a.m., 12 p.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m
