Tips
Unfortunately, the Schleiz-Saalburg small railway line was closed at the end of the 1990s.
In the following years, however, a very nice bike and hiking path was created in the old track bed. Many rest stops and display boards invite you to linger.
The route (14.3km in total) is completely covered with an asphalt surface - so it is also ideal for inline skating.
