The Palace Tomb has one of the largest facades in Petra. It is located at the foot of Mount al-Khabta, north of the Corinthian Tomb. The tomb was probably built towards the end of the Nabataean period, in the late 1st century AD. Some of the upper floors were built rather than cut into the rock.

One of the four famous royal tombs located on the right side of the main path.

The palace tomb dates from the early 2nd century AD and has a five-story facade. This monument was probably used for banquets and funeral ceremonies.

Behind the tomb is a dam and a water reservoir from which rainwater was channeled to a basin to the north.
