It stands in one of the most beautiful places in the Bad Nenndorf spa park: the little castle - built in 1806 in the classicism style. The building initially served as the electoral summer residence for Landgrave Wilhelm I, the later Elector. But just two years later, King Jérôme moved in here. From then on, Napoleon's brother celebrated many happy festivals here - which earned him the nickname “King Lustik”.

So that the then Elector Wilhelm 1 could reside in Bad Nenndorf in a “royal” manner, he had a castle built in the green heart of the park in 1806 in the “purest classicism”, an architectural style that took up the noble simplicity of the ancient design language. The northwest facade is particularly impressive with its temple-like porch with eight Doric columns.
