The Sentiero delle Genge is spectacular! An adventurous up and down under the Rotzo plateau, passing at the foot of high and majestic vertical walls of yellow and black rock that form natural canopies, with breathtaking views of the overhanging Val d'Assa! The photos, as usual, do not convey the amazement of these wonders of nature.

Numerous points of interest (the Pulpit, the Vignale del Ghil, the Pach waterfalls, ...) make the route even more interesting and varied.

The complete route starts from Castelletto/Bostel and ends in Alberedo, but it can be shortened at the level of the waterfall, going up to the town of Rotzo: also because the climb to Albereto is quite challenging. The path can also be reached from below, i.e. from Pedescala or from the 6th hairpin bend of the Strada del Piovan: in this case I still recommend the detour towards Castelletto, then possibly retracing your steps, because in this stretch there are the most aerial and overviews.

Classified EE (Expert Hikers) for several exposed passages on the abyss (however facilitated by the presence of mountaineering ropes fixed to the rock) and in any case because it is demanding. Perhaps not recommended for those who suffer from vertigo.

    * The 'ledge' is a horizontal passage on a vertical rock face: the 'covolo' is a ravine or a natural canopy caused by erosion.

Very nice route to do, all trail in the middle of the woods. I recommend caution since one misstep is enough to slip and get hurt, there are sheer points so always be extremely careful. (Better to do it if you have a minimum of experience)
