The Pine Cone Fountain, also known as the Pigna Fountain, was built in 1989 and restored in 2014 based on a design by the poet Tonino Guerra, poet and screenwriter of Fellini's greatest masterpieces. Restored in 2014 based on a project by Tonino Guerra, poet and screenwriter of Fellini's greatest masterpieces, it is one of four fountains in the city designed by the maestro. The pine cone in the center of the basin, commissioned by Tonino Guerra as a symbol of welcome, prosperity, and abundance, is made of Istrian stone and rests on a base composed of three circular elements of the same material. Originally built in 1989, it stands in front of the building where the poet "walked from one room to another" on March 21, 2012, the first day of spring and World Poetry Day.Source: santarcangelodiromagna.info/fontana-della-pigna
