At this place are the remains of a probably 13m tall statue. It is said to have been Hercules and it is believed that the statue gave its name and was the reason for the Hercules Temple. You can see a hand and an elbow.

Hiking
The ruins of the temple contain marble body parts, three huge fingers and an elbow. The parts probably belonged to a huge statue of Hercules and the temple was dedicated to the demigod. Experts assume that the statue was more than 12 m high in its original state, making it one of the largest known marble statues of all time. The statue was probably destroyed in an earthquake.
