Wasserburg am Inn has an almost completely preserved medieval old town with narrow streets, fortified towers and castles, impressive churches and historic buildings such as the town hall and a unique house front along the Inn. Numerous houses have been lovingly prepared and often house inviting cafes or shops - the city now also lives from tourism, whereas it used to prosper from the salt trade.
