Hiking

The Wasserburg Sculpture Trail extends along the Inn riverbank around the west side of the city and is gladly visited by tourists and locals alike. As Bavaria's largest sculpture trail, it is also a recurring attraction for artists and initiators of similar art and exhibition concepts.

The flood control dam, which borders the Inn loop around Wasserburg, offers a fascinating backdrop for the presentation of large-scale art objects. The walker follows the Inn around the town from the Brucktor - for about 1.5 km. Artists from the local "Arbeitskreis 68" exhibit over 30 of their works there.
Art along the wayside - in the open air and unsupervised - hardly existed when the sculpture trail was opened in 1988.
