From the harbor there are beautiful views of Nysteds Church. As the city's landmark, the beautiful baroque church tower and the water tower stand out from the city skyline. The church consists of a nave and several annexes. The oldest parts of the building can be dated to around 1330. The tower was added later. In 1643 the church was extended by a north nave and in 1659 the spire was added. The last reconstruction dates from around 1854. More information about the church at nysted.dk/nysted-kirke.
