This relatively lonely beach is named after the small church of Agia Marina located here (architecturally not spectacular), which celebrates its patron saint's festival on July 17th. Αγία Μαρίνα means St. Margaret of Antioch in the Western Catholic Church and is also one of the 14 Holy Helpers.
