At the Steenodder Kliff (Ual Anj Kliff) the island's geest core comes to light.
The rubble and rubble were deposited here by the glaciers of the penultimate ice age around 160,000 years ago. It is surprising that erosion is taking place on the side facing away from the sea and that even today the greatest land loss can be observed in the Steenodde area.
