Finally off the country road: A new cycle path connects Apelnstedt and Sickte and ensures safe cycling. The approximately 570 meter long cycle path was built in six weeks on behalf of the civil engineering company in the Wolfenbüttel district. Until now, the cycle path from Apelnstedt ended at the intersection of the L 631/K5 (Apelnstedter crossing). The new cycle path now runs north of the Apelnstedter crossing in the direction of Hötzum. Shortly after the Feuergraben water body, the cycle path meets a signposted and paved field path that leads to Sickte and thus creates a connection for cyclists between the villages. With the newly built path, another section of the cycle connection between Sickte and Salzdahlum has been completed.
