Coming from Apelnstedt, you can still use the very good bike path for a while. Unfortunately, this ends after about a third of the way to Hötzum. The road, however, is no less good. The surface is good and you can drive very well here. Exactly why the bike path just ends is a mystery to me, but the traffic isn't heavy enough for that to be a problem.
