Quite a swanky pub, was featured in BBC's 'The Trip' with Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon. Can be quite busy with weddings at weekends, so road cyclists might not feel comfortable stopping among all the black Range Rovers and big hats. I must admit I have not stopped there on my bike but have added it more as a geographical reference point.

Hiking

Superb country pub with peat fires. And an ideal stop for a pint of real ale during a hike in the area or night for a week-end in the beautiful Forest of Bowland.
They serve grouse when in season and it is popular wedding venue.
HM Queen Elizabeth II celebrated one of her birthday at the Inn.
Yet the atmosphere is cosy and traditional: the log fires, oak beams, and comfortable seating make for a warm and welcoming retreat.
And the beer garden is superb during the Summer days.
