On January 1, 2022, the city of Aarschot purchased the former Schoonhoven campsite, with the intention of turning it into a fully-fledged relaxation and recreation park. The park is best known for its ponds, but major works are underway here.

In 2024, there was already a lot of change with the necessary inconvenience for walkers, but the construction of a swimming pond and a beach sports field simply requires work. By the Easter holidays of this year, some things should already be ready.
