The Winkler fountain (source II) was discovered in 1808 during the construction of a country villa, the Beyerbach house. dr Beyerbach, the house owner, had the spring tapped. However, the fountain only got its name after its later owners, the Winkler family. The house was demolished in 1910 as part of the park design. The spring outlet was provided with stones in 1924. A renovation took place in 1988, whereby the old design was preserved. The water is a sodium chloride bicarbonate thermal acid.

The Winkler fountain stands at the entrance to Wilhelmspark in the former spa town of Bad Soden am Taunus. This healing spring was discovered and tapped during the founding work of the Villa Swiss. In 1988 it was redesigned. The fountain belongs to the group of earthy carbonaceous plants.

One of the many fountains in the Kurpark. Please note the information boards. The water is not always drinkable.
