Hiking

In the Historical Knife Forge, time has stood still. It still looks as it did 100 years ago. Around 1900, the cutler Johannes Nill, known as the "Lustig" (jolly one), produced his knives here. The whole family still had to help with muscle power on the grinding mechanism when sharpening knives. In 1910, the first electric motor was acquired. Son and successor Robert Nill set up a new grinding workshop in 1920. The rooms are still preserved in their original state today.

The somewhat hidden museum in Hirschgasse is only open a few days a year, but is then worth a visit. Time seems to have stood still in the small workshop of the Mössinger cutler Robert Nill. There is also an old forge and a special pocket knife exhibition.
