The former Mössingen town hall was built in 1567. For a long time, the town hall was used in a variety of ways. It was the seat of the mayor, municipal officials, and a meeting place for the municipal council. Furthermore, a wine press was located in the basement until the 18th century. According to a mayoral account from 1817, the town hall served "for judicial proceedings and all sorts of municipal arrangements, also for the storage of the community's fruits, dishes, and household effects, and at the same time for use at weekly markets as a granary".

The Old Town Hall is used by various associations but is not normally open to the public. On the south side there is a nice bench where you can rest well.
