Tips
Coal was mined there from 1541 to 1892. The site consists of the well of the Trench, 185 meters deep, surmounted by a headframe, a seven-fold lime kiln and the steam engine building, spread over a limestone plateau (ground of plate) extended by a quay on the Loire. Classified as a historical monument in 2004.
