The 20 kilometer long “Old Pilgrim Path” largely follows in the footsteps of the pilgrims who made a pilgrimage to the Hilligen Seele via the “Via Regia”, an army and trade route that has existed since the Middle Ages. The "Frankfurter Weg", as the "Via Regia" was called since the 17th century, was also used by the Paderborn prince-bishops and merchants for their trips to Frankfurt, the imperial coronation and trade fair city.In addition to the 20 km long main route, there is a shortcut variant (15 km) as well as a north loop (11 km) and a south loop (14 km). All four route options including precise directions are presented in detail in the "Teuto Navigator" tour portal. You can find the links at the bottom of this page.
