Crisp climb to Thürmsdorf. My bike computer peaked at 17 percent. If you think you are already up there, there is a second section to deal with. The climb is a challenge. At the end, the very beautiful plateau rewards in the Elbschleife.

Road cycling

The climb to Thürmsdorf is steep, but manageable as it isn't very long. The asphalt is very good, although there is a short section in Thürmsdorf (about 20 meters) that consists of historic, very coarse sandstone. You have to be careful going up there, too. On the way down, you have a great view of Königstein Fortress.

Road cycling

Really a hefty increase of up to 17% according to Wahoo. If you drive this downhill: be careful, there are 10-12 cobblestone cross gutters, you should hop over them, because they have a decent heel.
As an alternative exit, I would prefer the B172, because you basically roll with the traffic.
