This beautiful view looking down over the old village of Selbourne is your reward for the 60 metre (200 ft) climb at over 14 percent incline up the Zig-Zag path.

The jewel in the centre of this view is the Gilbert White house and estate. From this viewpoint, you can really appreciate what must have inspired the young naturalist to feel such a strong connection with nature as you look across the land he once trod.
