The Town Hall in Meerle is a protected monument that has been a defining feature of the center of Meerle for years. This is the only town hall in Belgium.

    Past

This Town Hall was built between 1910 and 1927 to the design of Jules Taeymans. It is designed in a neo-style with elements from the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque and shows strong Dutch influences. After the merger of the municipalities in 1977, its function as town hall of Meerle ceased to exist.
