According to a report in the Balingen edition of the Schwäbische Zeitung (formerly ZAK) dated 10/15/2025, the memorial no longer exists. The site bears the scars of a storm, and the crosses and a sign on the forest path are missing. The municipality does not plan to rebuild the memorial.
