South of Tübingen and Reutlingen is located on the course of Albtraufes Mössinger mountain slip. On April 12, 1983, huge amounts of rock, soil and forest fell here after it had rained for days. Because the mountain was covered by fog at this time, the inhabitants of the surrounding villages saw and heard little about it.
