The baroque palace in Gedern stands in a large, idyllic park. The castle itself has a hotel, restaurant and café, which are great for a small or large break. In good weather you can sit outside on the terrace, sip a coffee and enjoy the castle scenery.

An absolute highlight at the end of a dream tour.
The beautiful castle park invites you to linger but also on a cup of coffee.
The dinner is in an upscale atmosphere but we as cyclists have felt very comfortable here. The rooms in the Villa Geriwada (formerly Alte Apotheke are absolutely amazing.) Newly renovated in 2017, they are decorated with a lot of heart and soul to relax in. Our prediction Highly recommendedApril 21, 2019
Very nice castle with a beautiful park. The beer garden invites you to take a break.

Unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked when we arrived from Schlitz, arrived here. After all, the restaurant had opened on Tuesday, one of the very few that have opened Tuesdays in Gedern. The food was excellent, the price-performance ratio absolutely o. K.

In the courtyard there is a great beer garden. After a strenuous hike, there is a cool cyclist here :-)

A beautiful castle with an equally beautiful little park that is just as nicely maintained. Unfortunately I didn't have the time to stay longer, we wanted to go on a bike tour. To enjoy all of this you had to take a whole day.

Good place to stay and delicious food. A bicycle garage is available and can be used.

Gedern Castle is a baroque castle in Gedern in the north-east of the Wetteraukreis in Hesse. It emerged from the so-called Wolframsburg of the 13th century. The cultural history museum shows the development of the Vogelsbergbahn.
