The Laek Valley is a long reserve with plots along the Laak River. For several years now, a beaver family has been living near the Laak and Vijverbeek rivers. The beaver is a protected species and is of great importance to biodiversity in the Laek Valley. It restores water to the watercourses, thus literally bringing life back to the water.
