At this point you can enter the Gewestbos Graafsbos.
The Graafsbos is part of the large forest area 't Zwart Goor.
Long ago this area belonged to "Des Heeren Graven Bosschen". This area, which used to be known as Zwartgoorheide, is now divided into Zwart Goor and Graafsbos.History: In 1856 Charles Splingard, engineer of bridges and roads, bought a large part of Des Heeren Graven Bosschen. He built avenues, planted coniferous trees and built a villa for his family.
As a Freemason, Splingard avoided "any cruciform shape." Hence the oblique float structure. Yet the longest avenue, the Torendreef, is directed towards the church tower of Hoogstraten. In whatever spirit you experience your path in life, enjoy this piece of nature reserve and relax.
