Imposing avenues give structure to the Colony. The domain of almost 600 hectares is arranged as a checkerboard of beautiful rectangular (almost square) plots. Stately lanes with trees over 100 years old criss-cross the landscape. We can now stroll in the shade or enjoy the splendor of colors.

Driveways on the site of the colony were deliberately constructed. Due to the checkerboard pattern, only a few supervisors were needed to monitor the ins and outs of the activities on land
