The Przewalski's horse - also known as the Asian wild horse or Mongolian wild horse - is the only ancient species of wild horse that has survived to this day. It has a size of 130 to 140 centimeters. The physique of the Przewalski's horse appears stocky. Neck and head are massive. The head has dark nostrils and pointed ears. The area around the mouth is greyish to white in colour. The legs of the Pzewalski horse are strong and have chestnuts on the insides. The fur is mostly light or dark brown. There is a dark eel cord on the back, which can have a different width or color intensity depending on the horse. The mane and tail hair is thick and dark brown to black. The shape of the mane varies and depends on the season or the condition of the animal. The Przewalski horse has dark legs. Brown, transverse leg stripes can usually be seen on the back of the forehand.
