In the north of the city of Rotenburg (Wümme) lies the 218 ha nature reserve. The eastern part is a natural forest that is no longer used economically. Logging is still taking place in the rest of the forest. In the forest there are different zones with different trees. There is a reservoir with an adjacent swamp area. A very beautiful and hikeable forest in every season.
